The camps are located within a few yards of the lake, so that Swimming, canoeing, kayaking, or even fishing off the dock Are easily accessible. Explore over 40 miles of waterways Without portages. We do have a small boat ramp but one Would need a truck for launching. Visitors could also Launch at Grand Lake Stream and boat to the camps. Fishing is superb in this area for togue, smallmouth bass, Salmon, perch, and white fish. Wildlife viewing is plentiful For loons, bald and golden eagles, numerous bird species, Deer, moose and bear. There are miles of “tote” roads for Hiking and mountain biking, or just take the Amazon Road to Grand Lake Stream for a small trip (approx. 20 Miles).

Day Trips
Washington County, Maine, the Sunrise County, is the First area in the United States, to see the sunrise Everyday. It’s also one of the most remote areas of Maine. Far from crowds and trendy tourist attractions Washington County offers unspoiled natural Landscapes, a history enriched by a culture that Still makes it’s living from the land and sea, small Towns dotting the coast, inland lakes, and wildlife To enjoy in it’s natural setting.
