to Grand Lake Wilderness RetreatYour Hosts Chris & Donna Boone (207)-794-6635 Grand Lake Wilderness Retreat is situated on Junior Bay, West Grand Lake in Down East Maine. West Grand Lake is one of the largest lakes in Maine at 14,340 acres and up to 128” deep. We are surrounded by vast tracks of forest and undeveloped land with only a few camps dotting the shoreline. The Grand Lake Chain provides over 40 miles of wilderness waterways for boating, canoeing, kayaking, and fishing. Fishing is outstanding for salmon, bass, togue, and white fish. Wildlife viewing is excellent for loons, bald and golden eagles, artic tern and many other bird species, plus deer, bear and moose. We are more remote than most camps which enhances our authentic “traditional Maine Woods” experience.

Our
3 spacious “Grand” camps are refurbished, traditional log cabins, well spaced,
and nestled amongst the tall pines. Our camps are individually self contained with
complete kitchen, full bath, bedrooms, living/dining room and porch. The camps can
accommodate 5-10 people comfortably (Moose Lodge is 3 bedrooms and 2,300 sq. ft.).
